Eugene Hamill is a shareholder in the Philadelphia office of Lavin O’Neil Ricci Cedrone & DiSipio. He is involved in appellate cases and other litigation requiring a significant amount of writing and legal analysis.
In over 25 years of practice, Mr. Hamill has been the primary author of briefs filed in the Superior, Commonwealth and Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania, the Superior Court Appellate Division and Supreme Court of New Jersey, the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of New York and the United States Courts of Appeal for the Third and Sixth Circuits. His work includes product liability, insurance coverage, negligence and other litigation matters.
Mr Hamill received a Bachelor of Arts in history from St. Joseph’s College, in Philadelphia. He graduated from the Villanova University School of Law, in Villanova, Pennsylvania, where he was an associate editor of the Law Review. He served as law clerk to Judge Robert F. Kelly of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
He is admitted to all state courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District Courts of New Jersey.
With Gerard Cedrone, he is the co-author of “Recent Developments in Pennsylvania Product Liability Law – 2008” course materials, published by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, and “The Admissibility of Statistics in Product Liability Actions” The Brief, Fall 2007.
